The attention to detail and meticulous farming is
something that shows through at Vine Hill Ranch and consistently produces some of the best fruit in Napa. The grapes and the resulting wines are perfectly balanced from the day of harvest. It is Oakville fruit at its finest. Bright red and blue fruit flavors, incredible precision, an excellent acid backbone, and firm tannins, which coat the mouth from front to back. The density and poise of the wine are to be admired greatly.

The high elevation and volcanic soils of Diamond Mountain produce elegant wines with bright acid. This vintage reveals a Cabernet of depth and complexity. On the palate, this wine has a medium-body and dusty tannins. Bright aromatics of just picked blueberries and boysenberries lead into notes of aged leather, dark mocha, and caramel.

The 2019 single-vineyard Missouri Hopper Vineyard is perhaps our most seamless expression yet. It’s energetic and structured with brambly black fruit, inky mariposa plums and hints of oak and gravel (or graphite). On the palate, the wine is elegant and silky— fine-grained tannins, vibrant and compelling red fruit and bright acidity. At the core of this wine is an incredible interplay of new oak and vivid fruit purity. The finish is restrained but persistent with notes of classic licorice and smoke. A stunningly harmonious rendition from this prized vineyard.
