2017 JH Wheeler Missouri Hopper Cabernet Sauvignon 1500ml

The 2017 vintage represents our inaugural release sourced from the fabled Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard in Oakville and is already proving to be a wine of seemingly endless potential and possibility. 

The deep color of midnight blue with a crimson rim immediately catches the eye, while aromas of cherries, caramel, cocoa powder, dusty earth and violets plume from the glass.  On the palate, notes of dark ripe plums, cedar, tobacco and black currant fill the mouth, culminating in a finish with dusty fine tannins, perfect balance and mouthwatering freshness. 

We are excited not only to see how this 2017 Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon evolves over the next several decades, but also to discover what future vintages reveal.
